40th Annual ETSU Pediatrics Conference

Trainee Poster Competition

 

To encourage trainee involvement and opportunities for networking with the ETSU Department of Pediatrics and area practitioners, we are organizing the Trainee Poster Presentation Competition in conjunction with the 40th Annual ETSU Pediatrics Conference. Posters will be presented on Saturday, July 26th. Presenters will also need to submit a recording (<10 minute) of their presentation for judging and for virtual attendees by Friday, July 16th.

Poster presenters are encouraged to register for and attend the entire conference at no charge.

Timeline: 

  • Abstract submission deadline - Wednesday, June 18th
  • Notification of acceptance – Wednesday, June 25th
  • Virtual presentations – should be completed no later than Friday, July 16th
  • Judging will occur Thursday, July 17th-Wednesday, July 23rd
  • Submit posters to BMC printing by Wednesday, July 16th
  • Presentation of poster –should be displayed starting at 1PM, July 25th and no later than 10:30AM, July 26th
  • Presenters should be available to stand by poster 11:00AM-12:30PM
  • Poster award announcements – afternoon July 26th

 

Topics of interest: Research, quality improvement, advocacy projects, and patient case(s) reports relevant to pediatric practice and the well-being of children. Projects must have results/findings by date of presentation.

The abstracts will be peer reviewed for acceptance to the poster session by members of the ETSU Pediatrics Research Committee. Judges selected from the committee, department, and institution will review the virtual presentations starting Thursday, July 17th

Conference Participants will vote on Best of Show

Format of Presentation: All accepted abstracts will be presented in a poster format. The recommended poster size is 48 inches by 36 inches. Poster printing is the responsibility of the author. Recording instructions will be sent with acceptance notification.

 



Use of brand or trade names in poster presentations should be avoided. If a brand or trade name must be used, all names of similar products should be listed.

The submission deadline is Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
