2024 Tennessee Sex Offender Treatment Board Annual Provider Conference

The Tennessee Sex Offender Treatment Board, housed administratively with the Tennessee Department of Correction, has been providing specialized training to mental health providers specific to the area of sex offender treatment for over twenty five years. Courses offered during this annual conference include: Sex Offender Risk Evaluation Training, Ethics Training, Risk Assessment Training, and Trauma Focused Treatment for Sex Offenders. The conference is open to anyone who wishes to attend and is mandatory for all approved evaluators and approved providers.

Registration is open. There will be no registration fee to attend this conference; however, pre-registration is required. 

NOTE:  Thursday  (Evaluation Training) and all day Friday is mandatory for all Approved Evaluators. Friday all day is required for all Approved Providers. Anyone wishing to become a New Provider must attend the entire week. 

Instructional level is introductory for the new provider portion of the conference and introductory/intermediate for the evaluator/ethics portion and intermediate for the approved provider session of the conference.

 

Quillen College of Medicine, East Tennessee State University, designates this activity for a maximum of 32.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits^TM (19.5 CEU's for new provider training; 3.00 CEU's for evaluator training; 3.25 CEU's for ethics training; and 6.25 CEU's for current provider training).   Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Frontier Health is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Frontier Health maintains responsibility for this program and its content. The participants will receive 19.5 hours of credit for new provider training; 3.0 hours for evaluator training; 3.25 hours for ethics training; and 6.25 hours for current provider training. A total of 32.0 credits are available. Full attendance is required.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received in writing no less than 20 days before the course will be refunded, less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date. Please send cancellation requests to East Tennessee State [email protected].
