This is a two-part enduring material.
Part 1: Controlled Substance Safe Prescribing: Hospice and pain Management Provider, Dr. Steven Baumrucker, provides learners with education and information regarding the Tennessee Department of Health Chronic Pain Guidelines.
Part 2: Risk Management: Public Health Professional in the clinical and classroom setting, Dr. Bill Brooks, provides an in-depth look at harm reduction and how it might be used to prevent overdoses.

TO REQUEST CREDIT:
To receive credit, participants should complete the pretest, view the material, and complete the posttest and activity evaluation. METHOD OF PARTICIPATION IN THE LEARNING PROCESS:
Learners will be expected to take a pretest, review the material, take a post-test, and complete an evaluation. A score of at least 80% correct must be achieved to obtain credit. 
To receive credit, participants should:

4. View the material, complete testing and evaluation, and claim the credit.

2. Discuss the Tennessee Controlled Substances MonitoringDatabase (CSMD) Program.
3. Identify state laws and regulations regarding opioid safe prescribing.
4. Calculate morphine equivalent daily dose.
5. Safely prescribe opioids, minimizing the risk of addiction or other adverse outcomes.
6. Identify trends in drug overdose.
7. Review risk factors for misuse, abuse, and overdose.
8. Discuss harm reduction and how it can prevent overdose.
