Experts at the 2024 Ballad Cardiovascular Summit will speak on a wide range of topics that impact cardiovascular care and advancements in research and the health care industry. Some of the topics being covered are: understand current indications and evaluation of TAVR; left atrial appendage occlusion and valvular clipping; current role of cardio valve surgery; coronary CTA and IFFR (case based update); dysautonomia syndromes; EP devices 2024 for the PCP; 2024 congestive heart failure therapies; and cardiac MRI and the future of CV medicine.

ACCME Objectives
  1. Participants will be able to describe new pharmacologic treatment options available for heart failure and identify the appropriate patient populations most likely to benefit.
  2. Participants will be able to identify currently available wearable and/or implantable technology and discuss their respective implications for screening or managing a variety of cardiovascular conditions.

ANCC Learning Outcomes
  1. Participants will be able to identify the critical patient monitoring parameters for safety and efficacy of the new heart failure treatments.
  2. Participants will be able to discuss key patient education elements for assuring proper use and troubleshooting for wearable/implantable devices.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Quillen College of Medicine and Ballad Health. The Quillen College of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

 

Quillen College of Medicine, East Tennessee State University, designates this activity for a maximum of 7.5 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM . Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

CNE Credit: Ballad Health is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. A maximum of 7.5 continuing nursing education hours have been approved for this conference.
