Overview
Leaders from CHI Memorial Stroke and Neuroscience Center will address the most current patient care practices in the field of neuroscience to help providers improve clinical practice and outcomes in neurological and neurosurgical conditions. Topics will include general neurology, prehospital management, stroke mimics, advanced treatment of brain tumor, endovascular treatment for stroke, falls and anticoagulant considerations, secondary prevention of stroke, and subdural hematoma.

  3. Recognize the evidence-based treatment options for vascular emergencies, neuro-oncologic diseases, and epilepsy.

The Quillen College of Medicine, East Tennessee State University is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. 

CME Credit: Quillen College of Medicine, East Tennessee State University, designates this activity for a maximum of 6.00 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM . Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nursing Education Hours: Up to 6.00 (6.00 CH) continuing nursing education hours have been approved for this session of the program. East Tennessee State University College of Nursing is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the North Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.


Social Work Credit: 
In order to claim NASW credits, the attendee will be provided an attendance certificate to submit to NASW along with a copy of the activity syllabus.

Nutrition Credit: In order to claim Nutrition credits, participants should retain documentation of their course attendance/participation for meeting their professional development requirements.
