Vanderbilt University Medical Center: Building a Team Based Culture in a Complex Care Setting

A diverse team from Vanderbilt University Medical Center will present a one-hour program to help identify challenges of developing a team-based culture in a complex clinical setting. They will share processes and infrastructure needed to support a culture of team-based care.

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (1.00 hours), Non-Physician Attendance (1.00 hours), ANCC Contact Hour(s) (1.00 hours), Paramedic (EMS) (1.00 hours)

1. Identify challenges of developing a team-based culture in a complex clinical setting.
2. Determine processes and infrastructure that support a culture of team-based care in this environment.
3. Foster communication strategies among clinicians, patients, and families which provide for coordination of care.

 

Quillen College of Medicine, East Tennessee State University, designates this activity for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits^TM . Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nursing Credit:
Up to 1.00 (1.00 CH) continuing nursing education hours have been approved for this session of the program. East Tennessee State University College of Nursing is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the North Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Social Work Credit:
 In order to claim NASW credits, the attendee will be provided an attendance certificate to submit to NASW along with a copy of the activity syllabus.

Nutrition Credit:
In order to claim Nutrition credits, participants should retain documentation of their course attendance/participation for meeting their professional development requirements.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received in writing no less than 20 days before the course will be refunded, less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date. Please send cancellation requests to East Tennessee State [email protected]
