Yoshie Darnall, MSN, APRN, ANP-BC, WHNP-BC
Yoshie Darnall is a dedicated nurse practitioner and the Maternal Health Programs Director within the Division of Family Health and Wellness at the Tennessee Department of Health. She holds both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Nursing degrees from Vanderbilt University. After years in the private sector specializing in obstetrics, gynecology, and urogynecology, Yoshie transitioned to public health, driven by her commitment to reducing maternal morbidity and mortality. She is passionate about addressing disparities and advocating for client-centered care. Yoshie also enjoys educating others about her work and offers contraception training, including the placement and removal of long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs). Additionally, Yoshie is committed to fostering partnerships across sectors to improve health outcomes for underserved communities, ensuring that maternal health services are accessible, equitable, and effective.
